The definition of xeric regimes

The xeric moisture regime has very limited plant
available water due to long periods of drought.
The soil is usually moist for less than 45
consecutive days during the growing season. This
regime is typical in areas of Mediterranean
climates, where winters are moist and cool and
summers are warm and dry.
